Linda Ingerson, MS CCC-SLP
Began at Teachwell:
Why did you choose this field?
I always knew I wanted to be in a helping profession, and loved working with kids.
What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to be a teacher or a nurse.
What or who most inspires you?
My parents inspired me, as they always modeled kindness and optimism.
I am excited to be a part of Teachwell's innovative and dedicated team.
What are you proudest of?
I am proudest of my family.
How do you hope to make a difference?
After more than thirty years in the field of speech-language pathology, I still love what I do. I love working with the students to help them learn to say a sound correctly, speak sentences more fluently, understand a strategy to help with comprehension, formulate their thoughts and express themselves, and understand how to interact with others. Successful communication is always the goal!
What lessons has your work life taught you?
My work life has taught me that if one strategy is not working, find another. Just as in the rest of life, try to figure out what isn't working, and what changes you can make to be more successful.
What is your background experience – degrees, experience, skills?
I have my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Minot State University in ND. I have spent most of the past 34 years working with students ranging in age from 3 to 14. I have extensive experience working with students with autism and apraxia. I love learning new things and seeking new information.
People would be surprised to know that I . . .
am still a Canadian citizen after living in the United States since marrying my husband in 1986.
