Why did you choose this field?

I have always wanted to help children with disabilities.

What or who most inspires you?

My mother has been my biggest inspiration

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

I knew that I wanted to work in a health related or teaching profession and with my career I am able to do both!

What lessons has your work life taught you?

When teams work together, the child benefits the most.

How do you hope to make a difference?

I hope to help increase student independence and success by providing the most appropriate assistive technology tools/recommendations to support individual needs.

What is your background experience – degrees, experience, skills?

I have a Master's degree in Communication Disorders and have completed the Assistive Technology Applications Certificaction Program.  I have taught numerous graduate level classes and presented in-services for staff on a variety of assistive technology topics.

People would be surprised to know that I . . .

have taken my family to all 50 states, as I love to travel!
