Began at Teachwell:
Why did you choose this field?
I enjoy working with young children and their families. I enjoy seeing and hearing about the progress they are making in school and at home.
What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
When I was little, I wanted to veterinarian because I always wanted a pet monkey. Then, as I got older I thought I would be a doctor.
What or who most inspires you?
My mom inspires me the most.
I worked a classroom for 12 years and decided I needed a break from the classroom. Teachwell came along when it was recommended to me by a friend. Teachwell provides great services to a variety of children. I love how with technology we are able to reach children who need services. Every child deserves a great education.
What are you proudest of?
I am proudest of my family. I have a wonderful daughter named Amelia who is 8 years old.
How do you hope to make a difference?
I hope to make a difference by providing children and parents with enriching activities that will help each child meet their goals.
What lessons has your work life taught you?
My work life has taught me the importance of patience and hard work.
What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?
I attended The University of South Dakota and received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education K-8 and my Special Education degree K-12 with endorsements in Kindergarten and Early Childhood. I then went back to school right away and received my masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education. While working on my masters degree, I taught 2nd grade in Canton SD.
