Began at Teachwell:
Why did you choose this field?
I have substitute taught for two years and I loved it. When asked to leave it behind this past summer I realized I wasn't ready to yet and this seemed like the perfect blend of my passions.
What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
I believe that each student deserves an environment conducive to their own learning.
What are you proudest of?
The connections I've been able to make with students of varying ages and abilities.
What lessons has your work life taught you?
Everyone deserves a second chance, and kids will teach you something new every day.
What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?
I have worked with kids for the last five and a half years, the last three as an employee of the Sioux Falls School District, two of those in a substitute teacher role and one in behavior management. I have a bachelor's in Psychology and will graduate with my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in March 2023.
