Began at Teachwell:
Why did you choose this field?
I want to bring a positive impact to as many people as possible during my lifetime. Teaching allows for a platform to accomplish my goal.
What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
Before I realized how dangerous of a job they have, I thought that I wanted to be a firefighter.
What or who most inspires you?
My wife and my parents inspire me to be the best version of myself through every aspect of life.
I have previous experience working with at-risk youth throughout college and loved every second of it. Teachwell provides an excellent opportunity to work with at-risk youth while utilizing my teaching degree as well.
What are you proudest of?
I am most proud of the fact that I graduated from college in four and a half years after changing my major and being involved in athletics.
How do you hope to make a difference?
I hope to encourage and uplift all students that come into my classroom to become the best version of themselves.
What lessons has your work life taught you?
The biggest lesson that I have learned is that you never know what somebody else has experienced or is currently going through, so always be generous towards others and have patience.
What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?
I graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts in History Education with a coaching minor. During college, I spent two and a half years as a Youth Enrichment Specialist at a residential treatment facility for youth. I am also an assistant football coach at Washington High School.
People would be surprised to know that I . . .
