Why did you choose this field?

I chose to work in Special Education to help all individuals feel and be successful. Each day is unique with challenges and celebrations!

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a teacher!

What or who most inspires you?

My parents inspire me. They have led through example the importance of perseverance and love.

Why Teachwell?

Teachwell gave me the opportunity to continue my special education career part time, so I could be more present with my family. I am excited to advocate and support students at Teachwell!

What are you proudest of?

I am proudest of my husband and son.

How do you hope to make a difference?

I hope to make a difference by making meaningful connections with students. I hope to teach students academics, life skills, and social skills in ways they can understand that will last them a lifetime.

What lessons has your work life taught you?

My work life has taught me to never give up and celebrate progress, no matter how small or large it might seem.

What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?

I graduated from University of South Dakota in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education majoring in special education and elementary education and University of North Dakota in 2019 with a Master of Science degree in special education. I taught at O'Gorman Junior High School for 3 years and at Brandon Elementary for 4 years in special education.
