Our Roots

Teachwell Solutions began as East Dakota Educational Cooperative (EDEC) in 1986 as an educational resource, advocate and support network for member districts in eastern South Dakota. In 2013, it was determined EDEC needed a new name that wouldn’t restrict our services to eastern South Dakota or our cooperative members. Teachwell Solutions was introduced in 2015, even as programs were continuing to change and evolve to meet the needs of our districts. Today, Teachwell Solutions continues to focus on our core member districts of Brandon Valley, West Central and Lennox, but many of our programs are utilized across the entire state of South Dakota to help administrators, teachers, students and parents.
