What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
Either a teacher or a nurse
What or who most inspires you?
My family is my greatest source of inspiration. My parents instilled in me the values of kindness, compassion, and the belief that every person deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. They taught me to look for the good in others and to lead with empathy. Today, my husband and our three daughters inspire me every day to be the best version of myself, both personally and professionally.
What are you proudest of?
My family!
How do you hope to make a difference?
I want every student I work with to know how much I care about them and the progress they make. My goal is to help them build the skills and confidence they need to thrive, while partnering with parents, families, and educators to support each child's growth. Together, we can help every child feel heard, understood, and valued.
What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?
I received my Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from USD in 2017. I began my career in the medical setting, providing speech-language services to individuals across the lifespan (pediatrics to geriatrics) with a wide range of speech, language and swallowing needs. About three years ago, I transitioned to the school setting and have truly enjoyed the change. My clinical experience includes speech sound disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, language development, dyslexia, and pediatric and adult swallowing disorders.
