Why did you choose this field?

School psychology allows me to combine my interests in psychology, education, and advocacy. I love working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and students to create supportive environments and interventions that promote student success.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

A veterinarian or a teacher

What or who most inspires you?

Staying informed about the latest research in psychology and education inspires me to continually improve my practices. Evidence-based strategies motivate me to implement effective interventions that can truly make a difference.

Why Teachwell?

The flexibility of a virtual position can significantly enhance work-life balance, allowing me to be more present and effective not just in my role as a school psychologist, but also as a wife and mother. The ability to integrate my professional and personal life seamlessly contributes to my overall well-being, allowing me to bring my best self to both my family and my students.

What are you proudest of?

I’m most proud of my family. They are my greatest source of joy and inspiration. Watching my children grow, learn, and develop their own interests brings me so much joy. I cherish the strong values we instill together, such as kindness, resilience, and the importance of education. My family motivates me to be the best version of myself, both at home and in my work.

How do you hope to make a difference?

I hope to implement educational programs that focus on prevention and early intervention, helping to address issues before they escalate. This proactive approach can lead to better outcomes for students.

What lessons has your work life taught you?

The Impact of Early Intervention: Addressing issues early can significantly change a student's trajectory. Early intervention can help prevent more significant challenges down the road.

What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?

I have an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I then earned my masters degree in School Counseling from Wayne State University.
