Why did you choose this field?
I chose speech-language pathology because of the diversity the field offers. I enjoy helping others, improving their lives, and working together toward attainable goals. The field of speech-language pathology requires empathy, motivation, and patience. All of these qualities continually motivate me to improve in my career and also as a person.
What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
A teacher.

How do you hope to make a difference?
I hope to develop strong connections founded on trust with each one of my students and staff members I work with. Building strong relationships will positively influence the success of my students.
What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?
I graduated from the University of South Dakota with an Elementary Education degree. I then pursued my Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, also through USD. I started my career in the hospital setting and later transitioned to the school setting, which has been my true passion.
