Amy Mutschelknaus, OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Began at Teachwell:

 1994

Why did you choose this field?

I chose OT because I always wanted to help people within the health care field and through observation in various settings, found that OT seemed to be the most interesting to me.

What or who most inspires you?

The kiddos that I have worked with that start out in a fragile medical state and continue to strive for independence in their skills inspire me to keep practicing in my profession.

What keeps you motivated?

I stay motivated in my job as an OT by watching my clients improve their skills and become more independent with their overall function.

How do you hope to make a difference?

My goal is to make an impact on people's lives by helping them become more independent with their functional skills.

What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?

I graduated from Creighton University in August 1992 with a BS in Occupational Therapy.  I worked for Avera McKennan Hospital for two years before coming to East Dakota and have been with EDEC ever since.
