Why did you choose this field?
I chose this field because I enjoy supporting people and being a small part of helping them achieve their goals. It's rewarding to watch individuals grow, gain confidence, and recognize their own progress.
What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
What or who most inspires you?
My dad inspires me the most. The way he handled challenges and continued moving forward when life was hard is something that will always inspire me.
What are you proudest of?
I'm proud of the resilience I've shown while working through different bumps in the road. When things haven't gone as planned I've continued moving forward and growing.
How do you hope to make a difference?
I hope to play a small part in helping students build confidence and gain a greater sense of independence.
What lessons has your work life taught you?
That everyone can be a leader no matter their position or title.
What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?
I received my Bachelors of Social Work and Criminal Justice at Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2024. Upon graduating college I worked as a children's mental health case manager and am now at Teachwell. During college I worked as an assistant infant teacher and then in a group home for at risk adolescents. These experiences helped me develop strong communication, patience, adaptability, and relationship building skills.
