Why did you choose this field?
I have always enjoyed working with children and have had a passion for working with children with behavioral challenges for many years. I think working with children can be quite challenging but it's also very rewarding.
What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
From my first day of kindergarten I wanted to be a teacher.
What or who most inspires you?
My family inspires me to be the best version of myself all the time. From my grandparents all leading by example to my youngest cousins, niece and nephews pushing me to be someone they can look up to.
Why Teachwell?
I chose to come work with Teachwell to make a positive impact in the lives of others and the community. I also came to grow more individually. I am excited to grow as I work towards an RBT and learn/better understand ABA.
How do you hope to make a difference?
I have said for many years that I just want to make a positive impact in the life of one person. It is my hope that by pushing myself to be the best version of myself and having compassion for others I can make that difference.
What lessons has your work life taught you?
My work life has taught me many important lessons but most importantly to be patient with others and to celebrate the 'little' things.
What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?
I have been working in daycare centers and educational settings since 2005. I spent 7 1/2 years at a residential treatment facility for children with behavioral struggles. I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from SDSU via the University Center in 2014.
