I can relate to kids and enjoy helping them learn and realize their abilities and potential.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

What or who most inspires you?

My students who persevere to overcome life's many challenges and achieve their goals and dreams, in spite of their disabilities.

How do you hope to make a difference?

By developing relationships of trust, and by being fair and consistent with my students.

What lessons has your work life taught you?

Celebrate accomplishments, even the little ones. Forgive and don't hold grudges. What you say is not always as impactful as how you say it.

What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?

I am from Yankton and got my Bachelor's Degree at Mount Marty College in 2002. I taught grades 7-12 sped in Wakonda for 5 years, and grades 9-12 sped in Baltic for 17 years.
