Why did you choose this field?
After years of working in business development and marketing roles, I was searching for something more fulfilling that would truly make a difference in the world. I decided to become a special education teacher to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with unique learning needs.
What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?
I was going to be a broadcast journalist.
What or who most inspires you?
I find inspiration in people who demonstrate resilience and kindness, even when things get tough! Those who, despite the many challenges in life, can continue to uplift others and create positive change in their communities truly motivate me.

What are you proudest of?
I am incredibly proud of my family. They are my constant source of strength and joy, and I am grateful for them.
How do you hope to make a difference?
I can advocate for students who lack a strong voice or face challenges with learning. I love building meaningful connections with them, helping them unlock their full potential, and celebrating their success.
What lessons has your work life taught you?
Positivity is the key to a happy work life! If you can embrace a positive mindset, it enhances your well-being, creates a supportive and encouraging atmosphere for those around you, and helps create a more fulfilling work experience.

I graduated from Western Governors University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education. I am currently completing my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
