Hunter Mees

Success Coach

Began at Teachwell:

 2026

Why did you choose this field?

I wanted to help better the lives of the kiddos who struggle on a daily basis.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

I was thinking I would be a professional volleyball player or a therapist.

What or who most inspires you?

My mom is my biggest inspiration. She taught me that being your authentic self, is the best way to bring joy to others.

Why Teachwell?

I coach volleyball with the high school science teacher, Polly. Seeing how she felt accomplished every day and knowing it was because she was helping better the lives of our younger generation made me realize that was my biggest passion in life. Thank you Polly!!

What are you proudest of?

For my senior project in 2016, I raised enough funds to grant two wishes at Make-A-Wish SD. It was just over $13k.

How do you hope to make a difference?

I hope that I am able to help at least one child a day to realize they are gift and if they work really hard, their world will be brighter and they too can achieve their dreams.

What lessons has your work life taught you?

That everyone has a story, it is up to us to listen.

What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?

I have worked with BCS out of Mitchell, South Dakota. Come January 2027, I will be starting to obtain my degree in history.

People would be surprised to know that I . . .

I am the oldest of 6 kids and a cancer survivor!
