Why did you choose this field?

I picked Teaching as a new career later in life out of a desire to help kids make more positive choices.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

Military Officer

What or who most inspires you?

Faith in God

Why Teachwell?

I chose to go to Teachwell as I feel it is viewed as a last shot for many students and I want to help them see there is no last stop just a new path.

What are you proudest of?

Being able to consistently reinvent my teaching style to fit any setting.

How do you hope to make a difference?

By every day finding some way to help students see they are not failing themselves and they will succeed.

What lessons has your work life taught you?

How to see ways to learn from even the most difficult situations and that there is always a positive no matter how things may seem.

What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?

I have been teaching for nearly 15 years in all aspects of Behavior and Autism schools, I hold a BA in General Education, and Special Education as well as a MSEd with a focus on teaching English Language Learners and a Post Grad Cert. in Early Childhood leadership management and development.

I used to be a supervisor in the Nevada Dept of Corrections and oversaw 7 institutions, and I am a 6th Degree Black Belt and have been in Martial Arts for 36 years
