Began at Teachwell:
Why did you choose this field?
I wanted to be a teacher since the fifth grade. My education was defined by great teachers all the way through my schooling and I am simply trying to repay the gift bestowed upon me. I also love learning and teaching allows me to continue to grow intellectually on a daily basis.
What or who most inspires you?
The totality of human ingenuity up to this point. (Literally standing on the shoulders of giants.)
What was your favorite subject in school?
Cultural Anthropology (College); English (Both composition and literature)
One can be an observer for only so long before one is compelled to become involved.
What keeps you motivated?
The thirst for knowledge.
How do you hope to make a difference?
Enough drops of water will eventually fill a cup and satiate someone's thirst. Every little good deed makes a larger impact.
Goals for the future?
Eventually, we will retire to Costa Rica in the Monteverde or Arenal region.
What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?
I graduated from Augustana with some wonderful research experiences in the field of ecology and education.
People would be surprised to know that I...
always wear socks with my sandals.
