Why did you choose this field?

Teaching children is inspiring. I wanted to be a teacher to help students realize they have a voice and can achieve their own greatness.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

I thought I would be a fashion designer or journalist when I grew up.

What or who most inspires you?

My grandma was the person who inspired me the most.

Why Teachwell?

I am inspired by the mission of Teachwell as well as its environment.

What are you proudest of?

I am proudest of my passion to continue learning and seek answers to all questions.

How do you hope to make a difference?

I hope to inspire students to find their voice and build self-confidence in their learning so they will continue to advocate and learn for years after they have left my classroom.

What lessons has your work life taught you?

My work life has taught me there is no cookie-cutter mold or one size fits all. Education is about flexibility, change, and growth.

What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?

I have been teaching for 10+ years. I have an MA in Special Education, and a BA in education, multiple state teaching certificates, and endorsements in reading and ESOL.

People would be surprised to know that I . . .

I am in the Library of Congress for preserving a Veteran's memory.
