Why did you choose this field?

Communication is used all day, every day. I wanted to help others succeed toward their communication goals, so they can better connect with those around them.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

A rockstar

What or who most inspires you?

My mom inspires me most for the way she loves others with intentionality and authenticity.

Why Teachwell?

I chose Teachwell because of the amazing staff and team members that all work together to ensure the best quality services for our students. Everyone made me feel like family, and I knew that was something I wanted to be a part of.

What are you proudest of?

I am proudest of my new baby and all the new things we have learned together.

How do you hope to make a difference?

I hope to be a mentor, friend and cheerleader for my clients as they work toward their communication goals.

What lessons has your work life taught you?

The therapy experiences I obtained throughout my schooling taught me to take the time to learn about my clients, be intentional and listen to their needs in order to create the best treatment plan for them. I also learned how to think on my feet and go with the flow in my sessions.

What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?

I graduated from Augustana University in 2025 with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Disorders and a minor in Special Education Studies. During my studies, I had several meaningful practicum opportunities that allowed me to gain real-world experience and connect with a wide range of professionals and students. Now, I am excited to begin my SLPA career with Teachwell in the fall!
