Why did you choose this field?

I have always loved working with people, getting to know who they are and learning from them. I have true desire to help others learn, adapt, strengthen, and improve their quality of life.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

Teacher

What or who most inspires you?

Seeing my patients working hard to make progress and improve their life always inspires me to want to do more and be better.

How do you hope to make a difference?

I hope to make a difference by being a positive light in these children's and their families lives and helping them achieve more.

What lessons has your work life taught you?

Hard work pays off, always think "outside the box".

What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?

I earned my bachelors degree at SDSU majoring in Health Promotion. I went on to get my doctorate in physical therapy at Des Moines University. I practiced in Des Moines for several years in outpatient and skilled nursing focusing in aquatics, vestibular, and geriatric care. After moving back to SD, I have worked in acute care and home health prior to this position.
