Why did you choose this field?

I chose occupational therapy because I have always had passion in helping others. I love that occupational therapy can help people become more independent in their daily lives and allow them to do things they love.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

A professional dancer

What or who most inspires you?

My parents inspire me the most. They are the hardest working people I know and would do anything and everything for the people they love. I strive to be like them everyday through my marriage, parenthood, friendships, and work.

Why Teachwell?

I have heard so many great things about Teachwell! I knew others that have worked here and everyone is so welcoming and kind. They offer a great work life balance and better yet, I get to help children succeed not only in their academics but make a difference in their lives.

What are you proudest of?

I am so proud of my family including my husband (Christian) and daughter (Stella)!

How do you hope to make a difference?

I hope to make a positive impact on these children's lives every day, not only by supporting their academic growth, but also by helping them believe in themselves. I want them to know they can do hard things, overcome challenges, and achieve anything they set their minds to.

What lessons has your work life taught you?

My work has taught me that meaningful growth often comes from overcoming challenges. It has shown me the importance of patience, adaptability, and celebrating even the smallest victories.

What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?

I graduated with my undergraduate degree from South Dakota State University. From there, I went to College of Saint Mary in Omaha, NE to pursue my masters in occupational therapy. I then moved to Sioux Falls where I worked in the outpatient pediatric population for 5 years before coming to work in the schools.
