Why did you choose this field?

I grew up in the agriculture industry showing cattle and pigs. I wanted to educate about agriculture to youth and help close the consumer gap.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

Veterinarian

What or who most inspires you?

My Agriculture teacher in high school inspired me to enter into my career path.

The support Teachwell offers to educators is like nothing I have ever experienced. It has made me a more confident teacher and I can focus more on helping students.

What are you proudest of?

Watching students that I have helped throughout the years graduate and make a successful life for themselves.

How do you hope to make a difference?

I hope to be an educator that students feel welcomed by when they enter my classroom. I want to be able to give students experience in Agriculture that they might not have had outside of my classroom.

What lessons has your work life taught you?

I may be the educator but there are so many amazing things that you can learn from your students.

What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?

I grew up in Indianola, Iowa. I have been a part of the agriculture industry for as long as I can remember. I graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor's in Agriculture Education and Life Sciences.
