Melissa Krogman, Ed.S.

School Psychologist

Began at Teachwell:

 2021

Why did you choose this field?

As a former teacher, I wanted to continue to work with students and teachers. I love seeing the progress they make over time.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

I loved the English language and grammar, so I knew I'd find a career to go along with it. I initially thought I'd be a lawyer, but I come from a long line of educators so teaching was always in the picture.

What or who most inspires you?

My parents have definitely inspired me to continue to achieve my dreams. They are great examples!

Why Teachwell?

Teachwell combines my love for education with a passion for innovation.

What are you proudest of?

Career-wise, earning my Education Specialist degree. Personally, my kids. They are pretty awesome humans! :)

How do you hope to make a difference?

I hope to have a positive impact on the lives of the students and families that I serve.

What lessons has your work life taught you?

That the key to any job is to be open and flexible. People will perform to the level of your expectations. Kindness matters!

What is your background? Experience – degrees, skills, etc?

I hold a BA in English/Language Arts with minors in secondary education and psychology. I was a high school Language Arts teacher for 16 years. I also have an Education Specialist degree in School Psychology. This will be my 8th year as a practicing School Psychologist.

People would be surprised to know that I . . .

was a band geek in high school and a cheerleader in college. You can do anything you set your mind to!
