What was your favorite subject in school?

Math! I liked the rhythm of learning a new way to solve a problem and then applying that method.  

Why Teachwell?

I'm invested in what Teachwell does. In the transitions program, I want to encourage my students and support them as they learn how to become more independent. Here, I get to do great things with great people! 

What keeps you motivated?

Coffee! And seeing students grow and mature as they work towards their goals.  

How do you hope to make a difference?

Right after I graduated from college, my best friend gave me a piece of paper that reads "Do what you can, where you are, with what you have." Cheesy as it is, I love the sentiment and have kept the note within sight at work ever since. It reminds me that I can make a difference, no matter my experiences or current place in the life.

Goals for the future?

I'd love to get a dog.

What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?

I've got a BA in Religion from Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, MN. Believe it or not, the religion major is relevant to my work - I find there's deeper meaning to most everything and I'm good at understanding what motivates people.
