Why did you choose this field?

I choose to work in the education field because assisting students in reaching their individual goals and encouraging them to succeed is one of the most rewarding jobs one can have. I have always loved serving as a positive role model in children's lives.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

I originally went to school for nursing, however, quickly realized that wasn't a great fit for my professional or personal life. I quickly switched to teaching early on in college.

What or who most inspires you?

My family is what inspires and drives me to continue being the best version of myself, no matter the circumstances.

Why Teachwell?

Teachwell is a wonderful organization that provides assistance/support in education where there are not always many resources!

What are you proudest of?

I am most proud of my three children.

How do you hope to make a difference?

I hope in my role within Teachwell Connect, I am able to encourage and make school enjoyable for all students.

What lessons has your work life taught you?

Take pride in all victories and show honor and respect everyone's journey.

What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?

I graduated from Dakota State University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education (k-12). I have worked in elementary school special education classroom settings for seven years and have loved getting to work with many different students over the years!
