Why did you choose this field?

My previous work experience as a Direct Support Professional really shaped my educational decisions. Once I found the passion to continue in this field I knew I made the right choice!

What was your favorite subject in school?

Psychology!

What keeps you motivated?

Lists/staying organized...and of course, coffee! 

What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?

I have a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Rehabilitation Services and M.S. in Counseling and Human Resource Development with a specialization in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling- both from South Dakota State University...go Jacks! I have experience in working as a Direct Support Professional in a residential setting for around a total of four years throughout college.

Goals for the future?

I would like to further my education and knowledge with any trainings/certifications that will benefit the clients I work with in the future.

People would be surprised to know that I.....

I have a bucket list of large dogs that I want to own in the future. I've already made a dent on my list with my two current fur babies :)
