Why did you choose this field?

I enjoy the busy day to day with surprises around each corner. I also enjoy working and learning alongside my students as they work to become independent adults.

What or who most inspires you?

I find inspiration in a variety of things and people. My Mom has always inspired me to create and pursue my own path navigating obstacles as they arise.

What are you proudest of?

I am most proudest of navigating work life and my family while attending and finishing Graduate school.

Why Teachwell?

Teachwell is a unique setting that cultivates individualism for a variety of students. I enjoy working in my program but also getting to watch students from the other programs also accomplish their goals. I enjoy the work culture Teachwell has and the people that work here!

What lessons has your work life taught you?

Learning from mistakes and failures can create the biggest growth. Leadership is action not position.

How do you hope to make a difference?

I hope to be a part of the team that pushes a student to find their own sense of purpose and independence as they begin to navigate adulthood.

What did you think you were going to be when you grew up?

I always wanted to be a teacher or a therapist.

What is your background? Experience, degrees, skills, etc.?

I attended undergrad at USD with a Health Science Major and Psychology Minor. I went on to grad school at USD for Special Education. Go Yotes!
